Village of Cambria merit board proposed
Requirements for eligibility for hire list to be voted on during next Merit Board Meeting (October 13, 2026)

1. Must submit an application for employment
2. Must pass a background check
3. Must pass a psychological questionnaire, with the board having an
   option to request a full psychological evaluation
4. Must pass a board panel oral interview
5. Must pass a police centered skills test.
6. Extra point will be awarded for veterans status per Illinois law.
